Relationship of spiritual intelligence components with students’ adjustment
The purpose of the research paper was to investigate the relationship between spiritual intelligence components
with components of students’ adjustment among student at the University of Birjand. This study was descriptive and
correlational. The population of this study were students that enrolled in the 2011-2012 school year, of which 210 of
them (male and female students) were randomly selected. For data collection two questionnaires were used, the student
adjustment questionnaire (Farahbakhsh) and spiritual intelligence questionnaire (King); that which reliability of the
based on Cronbach’s alpha was 0.94 and 0.88, respectively. The results showed that there was a positive and significant
relationship between the components of spiritual intelligence (Understand and communicate with the source being
and Spiritual life) and the components of students’ adjustment (Social Adjustment, Emotional adjustment, Educational
adjustment, Purposefulness and self-discovery, Institutional attachment). Also, the component of understand and
communicate with the source being, cannot predict the students’ adjustment. The results showed that the relationship
between spiritual intelligence and adjustment was significant. The relationship between understand and communicate
with the source being and social adjustment was positive and significant. Also, there was a positive and significant
relationship between spiritual life and social adjustment
The ability of mouse nuclear transfer embryonic stem cells to differentiate into primordial germ cells
Nuclear transfer embryonic stem cells (ntESCs) show stem cell characteristics such as pluripotency but cause no immunological disorders. Although ntESCs are able to differentiate into somatic cells, the ability of ntESCs to differentiate into primordial germ cells (PGCs) has not been examined. In this work, we examined the capacity of mouse ntESCs to differentiate into PGCs in vitro. ntESCs aggregated to form embryoid bodies (EB) in EB culture medium supplemented with bone morphogenetic protein 4(BMP4) as the differentiation factor. The expression level of specific PGC genes was compared at days 4 and 8 using real time PCR. Flow cytometry and immunocytochemical staining were used to detect Mvh as a specific PGC marker. ntESCs expressed particular genes related to different stages of PGC development. Flow cytometry and immunocytochemical staining confirmed the presence of Mvh protein in a small number of cells. There were significant differences between cells that differentiated into PGCs in the group treated with Bmp4 compared to non-treated cells. These findings indicate that ntESCs can differentiate into putative PGCs. Improvement of ntESC differentiation into PGCs may be a reliable means of producing mature germ cells
Evaluation of Effective Indicators on Promotion of Webometric Rank of Golestan University of Medical Sciences Website
Presence on the Web and the realization of webometric indicators are one of the most important indicators of reflecting the international presence of universities. This study evaluates the content and technical characteristics that influence webometric rankings on Golestan University of Medical Sciences websites. This research is a descriptive practical survey that describes the status of the website based on the content and technical features that influence the promotion of webometric rankings. A total of 53 Golestan University of Medical Sciences websites were included, consisted of 7 college websites, 8 Deputies websites, and 16 websites for hospitals and 22 websites for research centers. Data were collected using checklist. Result shows that 49.46 percent of the expected indicators were met by the units. Colleges with the overall average of 57.64 percent had the highest compliance and the hospitals with 36.72 percent had the lowest compliance with the webometric indexes. The results show that 54.72 percent of the Deputies and 47.73 percent of the research centers have met the indicators. According to the findings, notice to the indicators that less-considered, is necessary for webometric managers and researchers. Also, given that Golestan University of Medical Sciences is the weakest in the Impact Index, considering the number of backlinks identified by search engines is one of the priorities of web infrastructure enhancement programs

The supply of this energy must be in environmentally friendly ways; one method of meeting demand in the residential sector is the use of combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) systems. The current review paper shows that due to the high cost of gas and electricity, CCHP can be used in various sectors, such as hospitals and airports, to reduce energy consumption with lower environmental impacts by using renewable energy systems as the main driver. While CCHP systems are not feasible in tropical regions with high cooling demand, a solar hybrid system is a superior candidate for regions with sufficient radiation. CCHP can also be used in sectors such as wastewater treatment units, desalination systems, and hydrogen production units to improve performance and increase productivity. The carbon and water footprints of CCHP systems are discussed in detail. The main drivers for reducing carbon and water footprints are improving system components such as the combustion engine and increasing productivity by expanding the system to multi-generation systems. Finally, the carbon tax index can help reduce carbon emissions if properly used in the right context. Based on our best knowledge, there is no extensive review of the environmental aspects of CCHP systems in the literature.Published versio
Effects of Scientific Collaboration between Domestic and Foreign Authors on Quality Indices of Journals
The aim of the study was to determine the effect of scientific collaboration between domestic (Iranian) and foreign authors on their quality indices in articles published in Iranian medical journals, indexed in the Web of Science citation database. The present scientometric study was conducted on the 22 Iranian medical journals that indexed in Web of Science from 2010 to 2016. Using stratified systematic random sampling method and Cochran formula, the sample size was determined 1230 articles. The data analysis was performed by Microsoft Excel and descriptive methods. The qualitative indices were determined using the Klimogrof-Smirnov test, Kruskal-Wallis test and correlation coefficient. The results revealed that 4.66 percent of the articles were compiled by Iranian authors, 29 percent written by foreign authors and 6.4 percent was written by scientific collaboration between Iranian and foreign authors. The average number of authors for each article was 4.9. The journals that have articles which have Iranian authors have a lower Impact Factor (0.69%) than the journal's articles which is the product of the collaboration of Iranian and foreign authors (0.82%). In conclusion, international collaboration in the writing of articles has a direct effect on qualitative indexes of articles, including Impact Factor, 5-years Impact Factor, Immediacy index and journal's Impact Factor
The Immediate Pain-Relieving Effects of Non-Thermal CO2 Laser Therapy on Genital Ulcers of Behcet’s Disease: A Case Report
Behçet’s disease (BD) is a chronic, relapsing, systemic vasculitis of unknown etiology. Oral and genital aphthous ulcers are considered as the hallmarks of BD. The genital ulcers of BD may be extremely painful and often refractory to multiple treatments. In addition, they exert a negative impact on the patient’s quality of life. Some investigations have demonstrated the significant and immediate pain-relieving effects of NTCLT (non-thermal CO2 laser therapy) on some oral lesions with no visible adverse effects. In this paper, we report a case of BD whose painful genital ulcers were irradiated with NTCLT and the patient’s pain caused by the ulcers relieved immediately and significantly with no visible complications
